October: Chapter 2

The newsletter that keeps its ear to the ground so you don't have to!

🌟 Editor's Note
This chapter will be a bit shorter as I’m recapping news and events that have unfolded since last week.

🔥 In Case You Missed It…

Local Vendor News
  • Belenty’s Love is now selling tamales to order!

  • Vegan Heat may have found her future location in the Asian Trade District off 35 and Royal Ln, inside the Shin Chon Korean Market. I've frequented there many times for my Asian grocery needs and I always had to skip on the vendors inside because they didn't have vegan options. She’s raising a GoFundMe to help with this goal.

  • Everyday Works is looking for a variety of vendors for their Fall Festival on October 25th.

  • Belenty's Love, It's Food (and its host store, Hao's Grocery) have won Best Vegan Food & Drink (and Best Grocery) in Ft Worth Magazine's Best of Fort Worth 2025.

  • Pizza Verde has a discount going: 25% off all Funghi pizzas through Sunday or while supplies last, using code MUSHROOMLOVER for online orders only.

🦄 In the Spotlight

Frida’s Beauty Spa

Frida’s Beauty Spa, located in Dallas, is where beauty and compassion go hand in hand. ✨Founded and owned by Lindsey, a licensed esthetician since 2019, the spa specializes in full-body waxing, customized facials (including targeted treatments for different areas of the body), lash extensions, lash lifts and tints, plus brow lamination and tints. Basically, if it makes clients feel confident and glowing—Frida’s Beauty Spa has it covered. 💫Every service is performed with professional-grade, esthetician-approved products that are 100% vegan 🌱 and cruelty-free 🐰, because Lindsey believes beauty should never come at the cost of animals. A committed vegan since 2012, compassion is at the heart of her work. As a solo esthetician, Lindsey personally selects every product to ensure the highest quality, ethical, and effective care for her clients’ skin. Beauty can come without cruelty… and Frida’s Beauty Spa is living proof (with glowing results to match). ✨

Compassion is my secret ingredient.
