New Calendar, Vendors, Menu Items, & Hours!

Colemans Cajun Eggroll, Happy Vegan Food Truck, ITSO Vegan, Compatible Delights

Hello, again, readers. One quick announcement before moving onto the latest vegan news of the week. I will be featured in two online interviews for Voyage Dallas Magazine’s Hidden Gems and Shoutout DFW’s Local Stories soon! Before my interviews drop, be sure to check out their past interviews with many of our local vegan vendors in the DFW area, such as Twistatic Bakes, Beyond the Bun, The Vegan Black Pin-Up, and more!

Without further ado, let’s get to the news.

New Discovery

My vegan sister went to the Richardson Farmers Market this past weekend to get her hands on Beyond the Bun’s sandwiches and came across a vendor we’ve not heard of before: Coleman’s Cajun Eggrolls. And apparently, they see us vegans!

She ordered the vegan eggrolls and my goodness, it looks delicious!

It looks like they frequent a few markets, such as the Carrollton Farmers Market. Be sure to follow their FB or IG for location updates.

New Items

ITSO Vegan just announced a new menu item: the Italian Sub, which means I’m gonna have to mosey my way back to GP to get it this weekend!

Happy Vegan Food Truck also announced a new dish of the week now that they have returned to their regularly scheduled programming at the Downtown Garland Square: Vegan Meatloaf!

Be sure to stop by during their hours, starting tomorrow:
🕛 Thurs: 12PM–6PM
🕛 Fri & Sat: 12PM–7PM

New Hours & Locations

Now that Compatible Delights has found a more permanent home for his food truck, his hours at are as follows:

📍1332 Evans Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104
🕒Monday-Friday 6pm-10pm
🕒Saturday 1PM-9PM
🕒Sunday 1PM-9PM

He occasionally also now hosts Late Night Saturdays where he’s posted 9 PM to later, which he will announce on his IG stories.

Cris & John, the ever popular Vietnamese-Mexican fusion restaurant off Campbell & 75 with an amazing vegan tray on the menu, is finally moving to a bigger space! If you’ve been here before, you know that their line goes out the door and their wait time is 45+ minutes. They are a small establishment which much needed room to grow and looks like they’re finally treating themselves to some leg space. And let’s not forget the parking! Their current location is next to a 7-Eleven and the parking lot gets filled quickly. Their new location is at a shopping center, so hopefully that means I won’t loop around for 20 minutes in nearby areas to find a spot.

New Events

The owner of Las Almas Panadería made me aware of a random vegan event that even the Dallas Vegan Insider hadn’t yet seen back at the end of June. A Taste of Forth Worth: Vegan Festival & Car Show.

But because all of my familiar vendors hadn’t posted anything about it, I was a bit suspicious if I should announce it. I thought to give it time before it made my way through other vegan vendors, and it appeared to finally happen this week!

Both Compatible Delights and The Green Tongue food trucks are going to be in attendance! You can find the free Eventbrite tickets here for the event.

It’s possible that they need more vegan vendors as well, so if you are one and can handle the pressure of an event happening in 4 days, please reach out to the number on the flyer: 817.231.2214 and help make this show pop!

Second Half of July Calendar

Belenty’s Brunch Recap

What a turnout it was this past Sunday at Belenty’s! I had a headcount of 32 people who joined and it was so much fun to see everyone congregate and make new friends. You can check out some pictures from the event below.

I plan to host more “vegan vitalization” meetups to support local vegan or vegan-friendly businesses. I’m open to taking suggestions! But it's looking like ITSO Vegan in Grand Prairie might be next on the list! I'm open to suggestions for future events!

  • Where have you wanted to go that you just haven’t had the time to visit?

  • What is a place you want to go to again soon?

  • What business would you like to support more often?

Let me know your thoughts!

Thanks! 💚
