April Showers Bring... April Newsletters?

Vendor collabs, updates, and reminders

It’s Thursday, people! Which means it’s practically the weekend in girl math. I’m here to give you a “brief” overview of things you may have missed.

One update from me is that I now have a Google Form that vegan businesses with upcoming events can fill out. That way I am less likely to miss it or get the time/date wrong. I’m only human. The form can be found on my Linktree.

While I’m known as the calendar person that organizes all the vegan-related events wrapped in a bow, I’d like some feedback if there’s anything amiss in the newsletter. What sections would you like back or what would you like added?

Vegan Vendor Updates

Pizza Verde Updates

Frozen Pizza Locations: Here’s the comprehensive list of all places you can buy Pizza Verde’s frozen pizzas around DFW. This is perfect for those who want a taste of one of the best local pizzas who may not be able to make the trip to their brick and mortar.

Artist Gallery at Pizza Verde! Are you an artist? Pizza Verde is collaborating with Art Tooth, a non-profit dedicated to supporting local artists’ work. Pizza Verde will be adding a gallery wall at their brick and mortar, where artists can display and also sell their work to the public. Check out their post here and their application to enter.

Beyond the Bun Collabs with Chaitanya’s Delights and Swirled Peace

If you haven’t made the trip yet to Antique Gallery Lewisville, you’ve got two additional reasons to go now. Beyond the Bun operates inside of the antique store through most of the week and weekend. They’re known for their artisan sandwiches, with their breads made fully in-house.

For the month of April, they are collaborating with Chaitanya’s Delights, an Indian Fusion catering and pop-up business (a personal favorite of mine) to bring an amazing malai meatball sub to the menu.

And if that’s not enough to convince you, they are now offering milkshakes made with Swirled Peace ice cream! See their post below:

Compatible Delights

A reminder from last week’s newsletter, this week is the final week for Compatible Delights’ brick and mortar location. They will be continuing on with their food truck venture.

Fort Worth VegFest - Looking for Vendors

Fort Worth VegFest is already being planned for May 4th. They are looking for vegan vendors for their lineup. Are you interested in vending? Please go to their application form here.

NEW VEGAN VENDOR ALERT Coconut Bakery & The Green Tongue

Coconut Bakery: A new vegan baked goods vendor is in town, specifically in the Mid-Cities, which has been known to lack options compared to Fort Worth and Dallas. They are just starting out their social media, so please be patient for content. Here is their Facebook. Fun fact: they’ve named their starter sourdough William. 🤣

The Green Tongue: A food truck located in Fort Worth, close to the Crowley border has opened up! Offering delicious and authenticate Mexican fare like tacos and even tamales, you can find them at the Summer Creek Ranch Club House on weekends. Check out their storefront here and their Instagram.

Rescues & Sanctuary Updates

The Zend’s Yoga - RESCHEDULED

Due to inclement weather this weekend, The Zend’s yoga + meditation + sound bath event has been postponed to April 19th! If you purchased a ticket, be sure you can attend on the new date.

North Texas Wildlife - Double Your Donation

North Texas Wildlife recently posted the good news that an anonymous donor will be matching donations for their new facility—up to $20,000! So if you’re feeling generous and want to help those who help the animals, please consider donating here.

Cloven Heart Sanctuary - Dory’s Birthday

One of their baby goats, Dory, is turning 1 year old on April 8th. The sanctuary is asking those interested to make a birthday card for Dory. This is a great way to engage any little ones you may have in getting involved with animals. They would also appreciate any donations, which will go towards the care of their own “kids” (Hah!).
